I recently re-released my space CD, “Fern, the Stars and the Planets.” www.FernsMusicForKids.com Yesterday a friend of mine told me that an article was written in the newspaper stating that some people thought they had seen a UFO. My comment to my friend was, “And I believe them!” I then told my friend exactly why I believe them. That’s because I saw one myself! Due to the experience I had in seeing a UFO, I was inspired to write the song “The Aliens” on my “Fern, the Stars and the Planets” CD. This is what I experienced…
I was in High School and my Mom and I were driving home from a basketball game, late at night. As we were driving up a hill, out in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts, we both saw a UFO. It was oval, and shiny. Shiny because it had lights all the way around it, making it appear quite bright. You could tell by looking at it that its’ shape was oval. It was hovering just above the trees, slightly further up the hill we were driving on! My Mom stopped the car. We stared at it in amazement. I opened up the window and stuck my head out to get a better look. It was just hovering there, not moving, and it did not make a single sound. Total silence. This completely freaked both my Mom and I out. I rolled up the window and Mom said, “Let’s get out of here!” She stepped on the gas and started roaring up the hill. At that moment, the UFO took off, INSTANTLY. It took off so fast that it was gone in an instant. And it never made a sound! We both saw it! (Though my Dad, to this day, loves to tease us about it!) Due to this experience, I was able to write “The Aliens” song very easily. I do have a pretty good imagination, and so, visualizing little aliens coming out of the UFO (that looked like a space ship to me,) was quite easy to do!
It was an experience I will never forget!
